<p>Position Title: Head Boys Basketball Coach (7-12)/High School Teacher Reports To: Co-Principals Closing: Until Filled</p> <p>Each teacher shall be under the general direction of the Superintendent of Schools, but immediately responsible to the Co-Principals for carrying out of policies of the Board as they relate to the functions of the school, classroom, and immediate contact with pupils and families. The teacher's specific responsibilities shall be:</p> <ol> <li> <p>To direct and evaluate the learning experience of the pupil in both curricular and extra-curricular activities.</p> </li><li> <p>To provide guidance to the pupil which will best promote his/her welfare and his/her educational development in accordance with his/her abilities.</p> </li><li> <p>To be responsible for pupil records and accounting as now required by the Board, or by statute.</p> </li><li> <p>To maintain the most pleasant, friendly relationship possible with families.</p> </li><li> <p>To execute the instructional program as directed by the Co-Principals and Superintendent.</p> </li><li> <p>To provide for the care and protection of school property.</p> </li><li> <p>To cooperate with and participate in the planning and the evaluation of the school program.</p> </li><li> <p>To take part in the professional development program of the schools.</p> </li><li> <p>To maintain cordial and workable relationships with colleagues.</p> </li><li> <p>To secure the highest type license for which he/she is eligible.</p> </li><li> <p>To submit to the supervision and comply with the direction of the Superintendent and the Co-Principals in all matters relating to the instruction of the students in his/her care.</p> </li><li> <p>To maintain such relationships with his/her students as is conducive to and consistent with desirable progress and growth in all areas of good citizenship.</p> </li><li> <p>Assume responsibility for overseeing student behavior in class, during lunch, recess, activity periods, between classes, and during extra-curricular activities.</p> </li></ol> <p>EDUCATION and or EXPERIENCE: Arkansas Teacher License and Coaching Endorsement are preferred.</p> <p>The Guy-Perkins School District is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
