<p>Passaic County Community College is seeking a part-time Career Coach for the Pathways to College Completion Program (Path2College). The part-time Career Coach reports to the "Coordinator of Career Services and Early College" and is responsible for assisting students in developing employment search strategies, tools and skills; introducing students to career development resources as well as general campus resources; providing opportunities for students to develop career plans; and helping to educate the college community on current career trends.</p> <p>The is a part-time, grant-funded student position.</p> <p>Examples of Duties</p> <ul> <li>Provide individual and group assistance with resume, cover letter writing and job search skills for current PCCC Path2 College students and alumni. </li><li>Increase student awareness of career opportunities on campus by collaborating with pathway coordinators, faculty and the Career Center. </li><li>Design and deliver career workshops and special events for students in specific majors. </li><li>Utilize career advisement tools such as LinkedIn, Handshake and Focus 2. </li><li>Maintain records and statistics on student usage and performance. </li><li>Assist with planning and implementation of the Path2College summer bridge program. </li><li>Support students in completing pathway projects. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Current PCCC student working towards an Associates degree. </li><li>Completion of at least 1 full semester with a minimum GPA of 3.0. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal, team-building, and administrative skills. </li><li>Computer literate, proficient in the use of on-line and social media communications. </li></ul> <p>The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.</p> <p>Compensation: Compensation is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications.
