Our growing facility has more than 800 hundred employees that produce high-quality, make-to-order power distribution equipment. This position leads Lighting Panel Assembly and is responsible for profit & loss as well as delivery on targets such as: people, safety, quality, productivity, delivery reliability, inventory, & cost reduction</p> <p>You'll make an impact by the following:</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Leading initiatives focused on enhancing productivity, quality, safety, lean processes, and training for all personnel working in and around production lines. </li><li>Driving efforts to reduce production errors, improve product quality, and boost overall productivity through strategic initiatives. </li><li>Ensuring adherence to production schedules through effective personnel management, prioritization, and streamlined operations. </li><li>Leading, training, and mentoring teams by setting clear goals, conducting performance reviews, and organizing formal training sessions. </li><li>Collaborating closely with purchasing, planning, and warehouse teams to ensure material availability and on-time production schedules. </li><li>Acting as a liaison between Manufacturing and Engineering to ensure alignment and process optimization. </li><li>Supporting performance measurement, documentation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. </li><li>Spearheading continuous improvement projects focused on enhancing safety, quality, and operational efficiency. </li><li>Supporting digital transformation efforts, implementing tools like Digital Work Instructions, Operator Displays, Performance Dashboards, and other connected technologies. </li></ul> <p>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>2+ years of successful experience in an Assembly/Manufacturing or related field in a supervisor role, with extensive experience in lean manufacturing principles. </li><li>Proven ability to lead Lean manufacturing projects within your specific area of responsibility and as part of cross-functional teams. </li><li>Strong willingness to continue growing in lean manufacturing through understanding and hands-on application of its principles. </li><li>Mechanical proficiency with hands-on experience using hand tools. </li><li>Project management experience, with a track record of successfully leading and executing initiatives. </li><li>Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics effectively. </li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office products. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>A bachelor's degree or associate degree is preferred, but relevant internal training will be closely considered. </li><li>Familiarity with Lean tools and methodologies (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis) and a commitment to applying them in daily operations. </li></ul> <p>Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer - sponsored work authorization.</p> <p>Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
