<p>Job Title: Entry Level Distribution Engineer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking an Entry Level Distribution Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for investigating, surveying, designing, and staking electric distribution lines in accordance with construction specifications. You will also be responsible for the construction or design of assigned distribution line projects, preparing staking sheets, work orders, and other required materials accurately and completely. Additionally, you will be involved in cost estimating, creating contracts for new and existing distribution lines, directing and performing maintenance on automated mapping and facilities management systems, and obtaining easements and right-of-way when needed. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with minimal-to-no experience to learn a very marketable skillset within a stable firm and busy industry.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Investigate, survey, design, and stake electric distribution lines in accordance with construction specifications. </li><li>Responsible for construction or design of assigned distribution line projects. </li><li>Prepare staking sheets. </li><li>Prepare work orders and other required materials accurately and completely. </li><li>Perform cost estimating. </li><li>Create contracts for new and existing distribution lines. </li><li>Direct and perform maintenance on automated mapping and facilities management systems. </li><li>Obtain easements and right-of-way when needed. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology </li><li>Understanding of electrical engineering principles and concepts </li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail </li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills </li><li>Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously </li><li>Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and technologies </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>You will attend meetings in the office as needed and will start working in the office full-time to start. Subsequently, you will be given the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement. The role allows you to expense hotel, mileage, and meals when traveling. Our work culture promotes self-management and does not involve micro-management. You will be expected to manage yourself and your work effectively to keep projects moving forward.
