<p>Our team is looking for a qualified, self-motivated professional experienced in Utility and Railroad Coordination to join our Indianapolis team. You will be integral to ensure that projects run smoothly, stay on task and adhere to all regulations and timelines. If you want to work in a remarkable work culture where everyone treats one another with the highest level of respect and enjoys being part of one of the most progressive and friendly engineering firms in the Midwest, then we would love for you to apply.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with HWC's engineers to coordinate the relocation of utilities across the state of Indiana for both INDOT and Local Public Agencies (LPA). </li><li>Conduct Utility Coordination per the INDOT Standard Utility Coordination Process for INDOT Projects and accelerated Utility Coordination Procedures for local projects. </li><li>Conduct frequent coordination with internal project teams, INDOT, LPA's, and utility companies. </li><li>Implement knowledge and contacts to navigate INDOT and LPA project development process. </li><li>Strong communication skills and contacts in utility and railroad industries. </li><li>Emphasis on teamwork and ability to work collaboratively with others through multiple design and project development processes. </li><li>Interact effectively with consulting firms partnering with HWC, INDOT staff, local government agency staff, and HWC's multi-disciplined staff </li></ul> <p>What You Need</p> <ul> <li>4+ years of experience in the Highway or Utility Industry </li><li>INDOT Certified Utility Coordinator or ability to obtain certification within 90 days </li><li>Ability to think critically, manage time, and problem solve independently </li><li>Strong data analysis and organizational skills </li><li>Ability to work independently and as a team </li><li>Working knowledge of scheduling and tracking tools, Bluebeam and/or Adobe, & MS Office software </li><li>Applicant must possess high ethical standards, have a strong sense of commitment to self-development, teamwork, and a desire to work in a deadline-driven team environment </li></ul> <p>SKILLS PREFERRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED</p> <ul> <li>EIT or Professional Engineering License </li><li>Working knowledge of Microstation/InRoads </li><li>INDOT Railroad Coordination Certification </li><li>Experience with utility coordination and relocation on alternative delivery projects </li></ul> <p>Why Work with Us</p> <p>At HWC Engineering, our foundation is built upon a vibrant culture that celebrates diversity, collaboration, and innovation.
