Professionals in the Division assess and actively manage risk, trade securities, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets. The Municipality Division is a market leader across a broad range of markets, with expertise in areas including Sales & Trading, Muni Capital Solutions, Muni Capital Markets, and Public Finance.</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>We are building large-scale electronic trading algorithms using neural networks and other statistics-based methods. Version 1 of our system is already up and running; we are currently working on Version 2. To support this effort, we are expanding our team.</p> <p>Our system processes approximately 10 gigabytes of real-time data per day to determine the auction price for thousands of transactions per hour. While we have a variety of machine learning models in place, this role focuses on connecting all the components to create a cohesive and functional system.</p> <p>Key challenges include:</p> <ul> <li>Ingesting and managing real-time data streams. </li><li>Ensuring algorithms perform as expected and implementing necessary controls. </li><li>Designing mechanisms to route prices and trades to the appropriate destinations. </li><li>Building a fault-tolerant, redundant system capable of scaling to 10x our current capacity. </li></ul> <p>This is a hands-on role for someone who can command the computer, not the other way around.
