<p>The Benefits Administrator supports the Human Resources team by managing and analyzing health, retirement, and ancillary benefit plans, as well as wellness programs. This role enhances the team member benefits experience through effective administration and communication.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Administer and support health, retirement, and ancillary benefit programs, including 401(k) plans, group insurance, and wellness initiatives. </li><li>Communicate, interpret, and resolve complex benefit related concerns and issues between team members and vendors with a high degree of confidentiality, empathy, and customer service. </li><li>Oversee 401(k) plan administration, ensuring compliance with regulations, audits, enrollments, and non-discrimination testing. </li><li>Manage benefits compliance, including ACA reporting, 1095 distribution, 5500 filings, audits, COBRA administration, and other regulatory requirements. </li><li>Maintain and update employee benefits data in Workday and ensure seamless electronic data interface (EDI) operations with vendors. </li><li>Develop and distribute educational materials, conduct benefits orientations, and support annual open enrollment, including testing and communication. </li><li>Review and approve vendor invoices, monitor administrative costs, and recommend cost containment strategies. </li><li>Assist in planning and coordinating benefits renewal and enrollment processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. </li><li>Conduct plan audits and monitor trends to recommend plan improvements and cost savings. </li><li>Collaborate with HR leadership on new benefit initiatives and process improvements. </li><li>Lead special projects related to benefits as needed. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:</p> <ul> <li>Proven experience in benefits administration and compliance. </li><li>Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations (ACA, COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA). </li><li>Proficiency in HRIS, Microsoft Office, and data analysis tools. </li><li>Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, formulas). </li><li>Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 5 years of experience administering self-funded, multi-state benefits plans. </li><li>Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. </li><li>Certified Benefits Specialist certification preferred. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to constantly remain in a stationary position. </li><li>The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. </li><li>Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. </li><li>Occasionally may require light lifting up to 25 pounds. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Office environment. </li></ul> <p>This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; and nothing in this herein restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.</p> <p>It is the policy of World Acceptance Corporation to provide equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all persons regardless of age, color, national origin, citizenship status, physical or mental disability, race, religion, creed, gender, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, genetic information, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
