<p>JOB SUMMARY:</p> <p>The Product Manager for Gateways, you will be responsible for driving the Gateway strategy and roadmap, ensuring that our Gateway products are aligned with both business goals and technical requirements. Reporting to the Director of Software & Digital Solutions, you will act as the bridge between engineering teams, stakeholders, and customers to deliver high-quality, reliable, and easy-to-use Gateways. This role requires a proven track record in product lifecycle management, technical acumen with excellent communication skills, and strategic thinking to drive required product innovation and success.</p> <p>PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li> <p>Product Strategy & Roadmap Development:</p> </li><li> <p>Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for communication gateway solutions, aligning with company goals, stakeholders needs and market demands.</p> </li><li> <p>Understanding technological advances, coupled with the ability to use market trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings as inputs to product creation/development to identify opportunities for differentiation and innovation.</p> </li><li> <p>Product Lifecycle Management:</p> </li><li> <p>Together with the Technical Product Manager of Gateway, lead the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation and development to commercialization and end-of-life management.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to deliver high-quality hardware products on schedule and within budget.</p> </li><li> <p>Technical Expertise & Requirements Gathering:</p> </li><li> <p>Understand and translate requirements (internal, external, market) into detailed product specifications, for company solutions that are for data center and industrial environments.</p> </li><li> <p>Together with the Technical Product Manager of Gateway, work closely with R&D teams to evaluate technical feasibility and prioritize feature development to plan out product features timeline.</p> </li><li> <p>Stakeholder Collaboration:</p> </li><li> <p>Act as the primary liaison of the Gateway product line to cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, marketing, and customer support.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide clear and consistent communication to stakeholders regarding product status, risks, and milestones.</p> </li><li> <p>Market Analysis & Go-To-Market Strategy:</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct market research to understand user needs and industry advancements in communication gateway technology.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with marketing teams to define go-to-market strategies, messaging, and promotional plans.</p> </li><li> <p>Customer Engagement & Feedback Integration:</p> </li><li> <p>Work directly with customers and partners to gather feedback, understand pain points, and refine product offerings.</p> </li><li> <p>Compliance & Security:</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure Gateway meet security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Work closely with security teams to address security concerns during the product lifecycle.</p> </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS: (Education and Work Experience)</p> <ul> <li>Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). </li><li>Experience: Proven product management experience (3+ years) with a focus on communication gateways (plus), including protocol gateways deployed in data centers and/or industrial environments. Proven track record in product lifecycle management. </li><li>Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of communication protocols (e.g., MQTT, Modbus, CAN, Ethernet, etc.), Containerization technology, IoT systems, and gateway hardware architecture. </li><li>Industry Knowledge: (Highly desirable) Familiarity with the unique requirements of data centers and industrial deployments, including scalability, reliability, and environmental considerations. </li><li>Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive product development in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions. </li><li>Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. </li></ul> <p>About Vertiv</p> <p>Vertiv is a $6.9 billion global critical infrastructure and data center technology company.
