<p>The City of Conway is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Parks and Recreation Director to assist in the daily operations of the Parks Department. This role involves working closely with senior staff to ensure the proper allocation of personnel, equipment, vehicles, and supplies for providing green spaces, recreation facilities, and programs to the community. The position manages full-time and part-time employees across city parks and facilities while overseeing leagues, tournaments, and special events.</p> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assist the Director with daily operations and special events. </li><li>Support the preparation of the department's annual budget. </li><li>Manage reservations and contracts for various park facilities. </li><li>Schedule and staff McGee and Don Owen Centers appropriately. </li><li>Assist in the hiring and termination of department staff. </li><li>Coordinate field and court usage for preparation and maintenance. </li><li>Collaborate with local organizations to meet community needs. </li><li>Assist in recruiting tournaments and special events. </li><li>Schedule staff for events and tournaments. </li><li>Oversee and support program managers with youth and adult recreation leagues. </li><li>Supervise and train full-time and part-time personnel. </li><li>Perform other related duties as required or assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree with 4+ years of experience in a related field. </li><li>Proficiency in Word, Excel, CivicRec, Canva, and other relevant software. </li><li>Strong work ethic, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. </li></ul> <p>How to Apply:</p> <p>Please apply and submit resumes with salary history here Here.
