<p>We are looking for talented and compassionate Medical Assistants, Paramedic or EMT-A who will float between our Willoughby and Mayfield Heights clinics</p> <ul> <li>This position requires successful completion of a Medical Assistant or Paramedic/EMT-Advanced education from an accredited institution* </li></ul> <p>Scheduling is tentative 8am - 8pm, 3 shifts/week for full time on a floating schedule. Rotating weekends and holidays are required. Schedules published on a monthly basis.</p> <p>ROLE & RESPONSIBILTIES:</p> <ul> <li>Prepare patient(s) for and assist with examination and/or treatment </li><li>Perform triage and obtain vital signs </li><li>Obtain and timely and accurately document patient history in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) </li><li>Collect and maintain all patient and business documents while always maintaining confidentiality </li><li>Collect routine laboratory specimens including phlebotomy, urinalysis and/or oral swabs </li><li>Administer medications and non-intravenous injections (intramuscular, subcutaneous and/or intradermal) </li><li>Start an IV, place a catheter and perform splinting when needed/directed </li><li>Perform various other clinical, aseptic and/or basic laboratory procedures </li><li>Document within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) all medical interventions timely and accurately </li><li>Understand and enforce standard health care regulatory requirements </li><li>Responsible for quality assurance program for compliance with CLIA waived laboratory and patient result trackers </li><li>Always ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance </li><li>Perform office procedures including all general administrative duties; ability to operate all office medical equipment </li><li>Required to travel to various locations as needed based on staffing and volume </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT & QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Successful completion of a MA, EMT, Paramedic program from an accredited institution </li><li>One year of relevant healthcare experience; preferably urgent care or emergency department </li><li>Willing to train new, stellar graduates </li><li>Must be proficient in venipuncture and injections </li><li>Knowledge of clinical procedures, medical anatomy, and physiology </li></ul> <p>INDMA</p>
