<p>We are seeking a coordinator to run the PROSPER Grant Nursing initiative. This project will provide support to Phase 1 Nursing students at risk of not being admitted to Phase 2. This grant-funded Phase 1 Nursing Initiative Advisor will coordinate the initiative with the Nursing Department, Pathway Coordinators and other college staff.</p> <p>This position reports to the PROSPER Grant Program Director. This is a part-time position.</p> <p>Examples of Duties</p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement a monthly plan of activities and information for Phase 1 Nursing students </li><li>Assess readiness for Nursing program; meet with students individually and in groups </li><li>Facilitate workshops to help students understand the field of Nursing and the application process; </li><li>Participate in program evaluation, and track student outcomes; </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Requires a Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred. </li><li>Minimum of three years of experience in academic advisement and/or career development, with an emphasis on support for at risk students required. </li><li>Requires outstanding interpersonal, team-building and administrative skills. </li><li>Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. </li></ul> <p>The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.</p> <p>Please use Legal First and Last name when applying for the job.</p>
