<p>JOB SUMMARY</p> <p>The Truck Driver position requires an experienced truck driver to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li> <p>Comply with Eco Material Technologies Safety Policies and Procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers</p> </li><li> <p>Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance</p> </li><li> <p>Plan routes and meet delivery schedules</p> </li><li> <p>Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts</p> </li><li> <p>Input "macros" into our automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process</p> </li><li> <p>Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions</p> </li><li> <p>Collect and verify delivery instructions</p> </li><li> <p>Report defects, accidents or violations</p> </li><li> <p>Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility</p> </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES</p> <ul> <li> <p>Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc.)</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly</p> </li><li> <p>Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations</p> </li><li> <p>No recent moving or driving violations</p> </li><li> <p>Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)</p> </li><li> <p>Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations</p> </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE</p> <p>The employee should have the following:</p> <ul> <li> <p>High School Diploma or equivalent and training or certification in relevant skill or trade</p> </li><li> <p>1 - 2 years' experience in a relevant field</p> </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT</p> <p>The employee should possess the ability to:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable</p> </li><li> <p>Withstand exposure to temperature extremes inside or out</p> </li><li> <p>Prolong standing or in stationary position</p> </li><li> <p>Complete repetitive movements</p> </li><li> <p>Bend and/or twist</p> </li><li> <p>Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to move or traverse about the facilities</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions</p> </li><li> <p>Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision and hardhat protection)</p> </li></ul> <p>This is not necessarily an all-inclusive list of job-related responsibilities, duties, skills, efforts, requirements or working conditions.
