<p>Lancaster City Schools</p> <p>Human Resource Services</p> <p>Posting</p> <p>April 2, 2025</p> <p>Administrative Vacancy for the 2025-2026 School Year :</p> <p>Job Title: Special Education Supervisor</p> <p>Location: Lancaster High School</p> <p>Qualifications (Preferred Skills): Must be Certified and Highly Qualified</p> <ol> <li>Master's degree (M.A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or </li></ol> <p>equivalent combination of education and experience</p> <ol start="2"> <li> <p>Appropriate state of Ohio license - Administrative License</p> </li><li> <p>Alternative to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and/or Board of Education may find</p> </li></ol> <p>appropriate</p> <ol start="4"> <li> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge and/or training in the area of special education</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of IDEA requirements, and Section 504.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of public school law, policies, and practices</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of the development of functional behavioral assessments and behavior plans.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of intervention strategies and multiple intelligence</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work effectively with others</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively both orally and in writing</p> </li><li> <p>Effective, active listening skills</p> </li><li> <p>Organizational and problem solving skills</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of curriculum/instruction and developmentally appropriate practice</p> </li></ol>
