Prepare and tie-in replacement warps with minimum downtime in a quality manner. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform</p> <p>essential functions.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>1) Knowledge of all general plant safety rules & absolutes.</p> <p>2) Operate equipment in a safe manner</p> <p>3) Meet production goals set-out by department manager</p> <p>4) Follow proper policies and procedures and job specifications set out by department and location</p> <p>JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of Warp Replacement policies and procedures. </li><li>Completing daily team maintenance (DTM) activities. </li><li>Auditing safety items in department. </li><li>Identify weave defects and perform basic weaving tasks (tying knots, drawing ends, etc.) </li><li>Execute intermediate computer functions to locate and move batches. </li><li>Lease empty warps and tie-in and pullover new warps. </li></ul> <p>SKILL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to read, write, and follow directions </li><li>Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions </li><li>Basic Math (add, subtract, multiply, divide) </li><li>Attention to Detail-thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task ensuring all aspects are reviewed. </li><li>Adaptability-adapts to changes in the work environment </li><li>Ability to perform basic weaving tasks </li><li>Ability to properly draw in ends </li></ul> <p>MACHINES, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT:</p> <ul> <li>Waterjet weaving machine 2) Reed hook 3) Scissors </li></ul> <p>4) Flashlight 5) Computer 6) Dye Resist Marker</p> <p>7) Pouch 8) Filling Packs 9) Barco</p> <p>10) Ear Plugs and Muffs 11) Steel-Toe Shoes 12) Reed Hook</p> <p>13) Stop Card 14) Writing Utensil 15) Leno Hook</p> <p>16) Warp Beam 17) Hoist 18) Warp Truck</p> <p>19) Tie In Machine 20) Tie In Frame 21) Lock Out Equipment</p> <p>AUTHORIZED TRAINING TIME:</p> <p>8 Weeks for Certification</p> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: FREQUENCY, AMOUNT, OR DESCRIPTION</p> <ul> <li>Standing: Approx. 9 hours/day spent working on weaving machine or retrieving warps from storage. </li><li>Sitting: Break time (75 minutes) and 15 minutes for completion of reports. </li><li>Moving: Continuous from machine to machine to warp storage, etc. </li><li>Lifting: Must be able to lift warp clamps, frame clamps, whip rolls (5-60 lbs.) * </li><li>Climbing: To remove and replace pattern chain on average of 10 times/shift. Utilize foot stool which is 6 inches off the floor. </li><li>Push/Pull/Reach: Pull beam out of machine (on bearings). Also push tie-in machine and pull frame continuously from machine to machine. Also must push new beam into machine (10 times/shift). Reach to clamp warps, to repair warp end breaks, and to replace leno bobbins (distance-2 to 3 feet) </li><li>Bending: To clamp new warps, to turn mechanism, to pull warp over, (10 times/shift) </li><li>Visual Acuity: Recognize quality leases, visually monitor tie-in machine performance, and recognize mis-reeds and wrong draws in fabric. </li><li>Other: Must comply with the Company rules, including but not limited to Safety, Attendance, and other job specifications. </li><li>Two associates are required for lifting items over 50lbs </li></ul> <p>WORK ENVIRONMENT:</p> <p>This job operates in a manufacturing facility. This position regularly works around moving mechanical parts and powered industrial vehicles.
