<p>The Engineering Group Lead is a professional responsible for overseeing and optimizing the high-pressure die casting process in a manufacturing setting. This involves managing resources, ensuring quality, up-time, and improving efficiency in the production of die-cast components while utilizing advanced Stellantis Production Way (SPW) tools.</p> <p>Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Leading Engineers in attainment of continuous improvement goals of operations and implementation of new model launches and non-new model capacity improvements. </li><li>Must have excellent project management skills, capable of creating project schedules, maintaining project budgets/forecasts, and tracking/closing open issues. </li><li>Capable of supporting / creating budgetary cost estimates for new and retool studies. </li><li>Participate in simultaneous engineering activities and suppliers on new model programs. </li><li>Obtain outside resources and information when technical challenges exceed capability of the cross functional team. </li><li>Actively participate and intervene in project development in the area(s) of responsibility to reduce/eliminate waste. </li><li>Drive HPDC (High Pressure Die Cast) lines and processes to fully PPAP'd requirements at 70% OPE </li><li>Drive kaizen/projects with Engineering Team in areas of waste defined through prioritization. </li><li>Ability to present during plant / project reviews to all levels of leadership of the organization. </li><li>Train, coach, and support the deployment of sophisticated SPW tools on more complex problems (e.g. major and advanced projects utilizing statistical methods to reduce variation). </li><li>Offer hands on trouble-shooting support to the assigned Technical Engineers and Maintenance Support Team in securing/improving OEE (overall equipment effectiveness) of process equipment including the improvement of MTBF (mean time between faults) and reduction in MTTR (mean time between repairs). </li><li>Oversee/ensure the updating of all process equipment related documentation including, but not limited to: </li><li>Tool and operation sheets, machine drawings, tool drawings, </li><li>PFMEA's (process failure model effects analysis), control plans, </li><li>OPL's (one point lessons), </li><li>EWO's (emergency work order), software back-up programs, etc. </li><li>Lead efforts for spare parts definition and cataloging in the business unit assigned. </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in engineering </li><li>Proven experience in high-pressure die casting processes. </li><li>Knowledge of die design, tooling, and metal casting techniques. </li><li>Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools. </li><li>Create/support new business cost studies as required. </li><li>Must be able to lead and coach engineers in problem solving methodologies. </li><li>Must have excellent communication skills and strong knowledge of business metrics. </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Demonstrated leadership competencies and able to handle multiple tasks and work with all levels of management, union and other organizations. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). </li><li>Travel 20/40% </li></ul> <p>EOE / Disability / Veteran</p> <p>At Stellantis, we assess candidates based on qualifications, merit and business needs.
