responsibilitiesPerforms a variety of patient care activities rendering quality patients in accordance with standards of practiceRoom clinic patients in person or virtually and update patient chart with the required informationCommunicate pertinent patient data to providers and nurses to ensure quality and continuity of patient careProvide administrative and front end support Greet patients assist with scheduling manage phone calls incoming and outgoing and process paymentsOversees and ensures efficient turnover of exam roomsAssist provider in the exam room as requestedCollect prepare and submit ordered patient lab specimens as directedAssist Patient Services team as needed to obtain prior authorizations for prescribed treatments and documentsTriage patient phone calls and messages and document them appropriatelyOrders and manages supplies under the direction of managerDisinfect and stock the exam roomsAssist in obtaining records required for the patients chartDemonstrate effective communication skills reporting patient issues as needed throughout the treatment dayFollow company policies and CDC guidelines for infection controlSecondary responsibilities Assist with proper handling and storage of hazardous materialsMaintain confidentiality of all company and patient records Adhere to HIPPACommunicates schedule changes to the team and assists with rescheduling patientsManages incoming mail and deliveries QualificationsEducation and Experience High school graduate or equivalent requiredMedical Assistant Certification or Registration requiredCPRBLS required6 months of clinical experience required1 year in an administrative or customer service role preferredPhlebotomy and lab processing skills preferredSkills Self motivated with the ability to work independently as neededMust possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate professionally and effectively with other staff members patients and physiciansMust possess computer skills for electronic recordkeepingAble to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manualsTo perform this job
