<p>Accounts Payable Manager</p> <p>Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Accounts Payable Manager to oversee and lead our Accounts Payable function. In this role, you will direct, coordinate, and supervise the daily operations of the Accounts Payable team while driving process improvements, automation, and workflow efficiency. As a leader, you will provide mentorship, training, and development opportunities to your team while ensuring the timely and accurate processing of all Accounts Payable transactions.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <p>Leadership & Team Management:</p> <ul> <li>Lead, mentor, and motivate the Accounts Payable team, ensuring clarity in expectations and fostering high performance. </li><li>Provide coaching, training, and career development opportunities to AP staff. </li><li>Monitor workload distribution to ensure efficiency and accuracy in invoice and payment processing. </li><li>Manage and oversee Accounts Payable Specialists, ensuring their performance aligns with team goals. </li></ul> <p>Accounts Payable Operations:</p> <ul> <li>Oversee the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice processing, approvals, and payment disbursement. </li><li>Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and credit card transactions. </li><li>Maintain and enforce internal controls to prevent errors, fraud, or compliance issues. </li><li>Manage AP aging reports and ensure timely resolution of outstanding balances. </li><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors. </li><li>Monitor cash flow needs and ensure timely payments, while optimizing working capital. </li><li>Address and resolve invoice discrepancies, disputes, and vendor inquiries. </li></ul> <p>Process Improvement & Technology Optimization:</p> <ul> <li>Identify and implement process improvements to enhance AP efficiency and accuracy. </li><li>Evaluate and optimize the use of AP automation tools, workflows, and ERP integrations. </li><li>Lead digital transformation initiatives to reduce manual processing and improve scalability. </li></ul> <p>Compliance & Financial Reporting:</p> <ul> <li>Ensure compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and industry best practices. </li><li>Oversee AP month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and accruals. </li><li>Prepare and review reports on AP metrics, cash flow impact, and vendor spend analysis. </li><li>Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications, Education, Experience and Skills:</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred with 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.</p> <p>Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, internal controls, and vendor management.</p> <p>Familiarity with Epicor Eclipse software or willingness to learn other software systems.</p> <p>Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.</p> <p>Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.</p> <p>We offer a competitive wage along with great benefits, including medical, dental, disability, a 401(k) plan with employer match, paid holidays, paid time off, and paid "Eastern Cares" days.</p> <p>Eastern Industrial Supplies specializes in the quality distribution of pipe, valves, and fittings (PVF), as well as commercial plumbing products.
