<p>Bradford Soap Works, Inc.</p> <p>Position Descriptions</p> <p>Job Title: Maintenance Technician</p> <p>Division: Operations Reports to: Maintenance Manager</p> <p>Job Function: Maintain operation of Bar Soap production line equipment.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Set up when maintenance repairs are identified </li><li>Respond to maintenance repair requests from the production </li><li>Maintains machine records by recording service and repairs </li><li>Review and complete Work Orders on a daily basis </li><li>Establish the root cause of machine failure during maintenance repairs </li><li>Provide training and development to Maintenance Tech I </li><li>Establish a plan to prevent repeat failure based on the root cause </li><li>Machine parts, fabricate, and weld as directed by the Maintenance Manager </li><li>Assist with facility maintenance and other activities as directed by the Maintenance Manager </li><li>Review operation and make suggestions to improve the process, follow up until the project is completed </li><li>Assist production in maintaining quality standards </li><li>Ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures </li><li>Ensure compliance with all safety procedures </li><li>Equipment PM, repair, and installation </li><li>Other activities as directed by the Maintenance Tech level 3 or Maintenance Manager </li></ul> <p>Working Relationships:</p> <p>Internal:</p> <ul> <li>Departmental personnel </li><li>Operations personnel </li><li>Production personnel </li><li>Management personnel </li></ul> <p>Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>High school education requires a minimum of 2 years of post-secondary schooling. </li><li>+5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment. </li><li>Capable of functioning with little supervision. </li><li>High Mechanical, Welding, & Fabrication skills. </li><li>Good Electrical skills </li><li>Able to read engineering drawings </li><li>Able to communicate effectively and have strong team collaboration skills </li><li>Able to operate all machinery on the production floor </li><li>General knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices. </li><li>Capable of physical effort. Will spend a significant number of hours in a shop floor environment. </li><li>General knowledge of company policies and procedures. </li><li>Capable of extended hour commitment and on-call at all times. </li><li>Capable of completing full setup (Press through Packaging) of every machine </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Constant exposure to the manufacturing environment. </li><li>Potentially cold environment. </li><li>Potential heavy lifting. </li></ul>
