<p>Supplier Development Engineer (f/m/d)</p> <p>Industry</p> <p>Automotive</p> <p>Locations</p> <p>Detroit (MI, USA), Greenville (SC, USA)</p> <p>What you'll do</p> <p>As a Supplier Development Engineer, you will work directly with our clients to enhance supplier performance, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery meet industry standards. Your responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Assessing and improving supplier capabilities through audits and process evaluations. </li><li>Driving supplier performance improvements in quality, manufacturing processes, and operational efficiency. </li><li>Collaborating with suppliers on corrective actions, continuous improvement initiatives, and lean manufacturing strategies. </li><li>Supporting Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities. </li><li>Managing and resolving supplier-related issues, ensuring compliance with client standards. </li><li>Facilitating communication between suppliers and clients to achieve seamless integration. </li><li>Support our great team by taking on internal work and coaching others. </li></ul> <p>Who you are</p> <ul> <li>You have 2-5 years of experience in supplier development, manufacturing engineering, or a related field. </li><li>You have a background in manufacturing and understand production processes. </li><li>You are experienced in supplier assessments, process improvements, and quality tools (Lean, Six Sigma, APQP, PPAP, etc.). </li><li>You have excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset. </li><li>You are comfortable working with suppliers, engineers, and leadership teams to drive improvements. </li><li>Your English skills are solid, German and/or Spanish is a plus. </li><li>You are willing to travel. </li><li>You are legally authorized to work in the U.S. </li></ul> <p>Good to know</p> <ul> <li>We offer a competitive salary with bonus potential. </li><li>You get up to 20 days PTO and 10 paid company holidays. </li><li>You can get healthcare, life insurance, dental & vision, 401(k) matching. </li><li>We invest in your growth with mentorship and a strong learning culture. </li><li>You contribute directly to advancing innovation in the sectors we operate in. </li><li>You'll take ownership of your work and see the direct results of your efforts. </li><li>We foster an entrepreneurial spirit-take initiative, own your ideas, and drive real impact. </li></ul>
