We believe that our differences enable us to be a better team - one that makes better decisions, drives innovation and delivers better business results.</p> <p>Opportunity Overview:</p> <p>Teradyne's Supply Base Management (SBM) group is hiring for a supply line engineer to support the new product innovation team focused on silicon photonics and other advanced technologies supporting test and measurement products.</p> <p>In this role you will help enable design through the development of a global supply base capable of manufacturing our products while adhering to strict quality, cost, and schedule requirements.</p> <p>In this role, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Influence product design and specifications early in the design cycle to minimize cost while maximizing supply chain flexibility and long term quality. </li><li>Be responsible for establishing a supply base that can support the technology needed to enable new designs while balancing the operation needs of the company. </li><li>Manage supply chain risk and develop mitigation strategies to enable innovation in design will minimizing impacts to Teradyne operations. </li><li>Conduct the assessments of suppliers including evaluation of reliability, design validity, process capability and capacity. </li><li>Work with suppliers to execute part-qualification processes aligned with the complexity of various parts. </li><li>Work with global Supplier Quality Engineers, manages ongoing component quality and reliability issues with the supply base. Utilize continuous improvement tools, communicate expectations, identify and communicate gaps, and drive corrective action. May issue corrective action notices and develop alternative sources as needed. </li><li>Manage supplier's tooling and test process development to ensure the supplier has the capacity, flexibility and quality gates in place to allow for uninterrupted supply in high volume manufacturing. </li><li>Drive root cause and corrective action on supplier caused defects. </li></ul> <p>All About You:</p> <p>We seek individuals who share our passion and determination. If you're ready to join us in this mission, take a closer look at the minimum criteria for the position.</p> <ul> <li>8-15 years of experience working in the design and testing of optical systems and/or lasers </li><li>5+ years of industry experience with Si photonics processes (e.g. for fabrication of waveguides, splitters, gratings, modulators, and detectors) </li><li>Understanding of process integration, silicon-photonic materials and optical physics, and silicon-photonic fabrication processes. </li><li>Working knowledge of optical measurement techniques and equipment. </li><li>Experience with automation and optical test metrology. </li><li>Knowledgeable in testing integrated photonic solutions, including active and passive photonic components. </li><li>Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Photonics, Physics, or Electro-Optical Engineering preferred </li><li>Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities; excels at promoting new ideas, building collaborative relationships, working across organizations. </li><li>Ability to travel up to 15%, both domestic and international </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <p>Teradyne offers a variety of robust health and well-being benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance, paid vacation & holidays, tuition assistance programs, and more.
