An Engineering Technologist I, applies developing technical expertise to solve simple problems and management skills to provide oversight of work in a specific area of developing expertise, with close supervision. An Engineering Technologist I is expected to develop skills and ability in their field of study and work with some degree of independence.</p> <p>The Engineering Technologist II position is second level of the non-Engineer degreed technical support role job classification. The Engineering Technologist II applies technical expertise to solve more complex problems and management skills to provide oversight and direction of work in a specific area of expertise, with general supervision. Employees in the Engineering Technologist II position are expected to develop deeper technical skills and the ability to work with an increasing degree of independence.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Applies technical expertise in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems in area of expertise </li><li>Ensures accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities </li><li>Applies beginner level knowledge in preparing thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches </li><li>Conducts engineering and related studies </li><li>Strives to continually improve job-related, technical and professional knowledge, skills and performance </li><li>Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities, </li><li>Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills, </li><li>Maintains accurate records and files, </li><li>Supports the company's goals and represents the company positively and professionally </li></ul> <p>Basic Required Qualifications Tech I</p> <ul> <li>Associates degree in Engineering Technology </li><li>In lieu of Associates degree(s) listed above, High School/GED AND 4 year(s) related work experience </li></ul> <p>Basic Required Qualifications Tech II</p> <ul> <li>Associates degree in Engineering Technology </li><li>2 years related work experience </li><li>In lieu of Associates degree(s) AND 2 year(s) related work experience listed above, High School/GED AND 6 year(s) related work experience </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology </li></ul> <p>Additional Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience in the utility industry. </li><li>Understanding of basic principles of project management. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions</p> <ul> <li>Hybrid - Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period.
