<p>Summary of Position</p> <p>Teaches a wide range of mathematics and statistics courses, which may include elementary, intermediate, and advanced undergraduate statistics, college algebra, quantitative reasoning, calculus, and other advanced mathematics and statistics courses.</p> <p>Participates in department, college and university service activities, community engagement, and outreach.</p> <p>Develops and delivers face-to-face, hybrid, and online instruction in mathematics and statistics.</p> <p>Coordinates co-requisite and/or service courses in the department and works with faculty and staff on initiatives to improve student success in mathematics and statistics courses.</p> <p>Interacts effectively with a diverse population of students and faculty and contributes to the success of the Department by working effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds. Mentors graduate teaching assistants in their course assignments.</p> <p>Position Information</p> <p>Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. YSU's culture of enrichment flourishes in our intellectually diverse, accessible, and quality education.</p> <p>Work Schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday, including some evenings, and the possibility of some weekend days.</p> <p>Qualifications and Competencies</p> <p>Required Certifications, Training, and/or Licensures: None</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in statistics, mathematics, or applied mathematics by the time of appointment.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications: Three or more years of demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching; Demonstrated ability to teach a wide range of courses in statistics and mathematics; Experience teaching statistics courses.
