<p>SUMMARY</p> <p>The Shipping & Receiving Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the efficient and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of products within a designated facility. This role involves supervising a team of Shipper/Receivers, ensuring adherence to company policies, safety regulations, and quality control standards.</p> <p>The Shipping & Receiving Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment, and implementing efficient shipping and receiving procedures.</p> <p>This position reports directly to the Shipping & Receiving Manager.</p> <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Supervise and lead the day-to-day activities of the Shipping and Receiving team, ensuring the smooth flow of goods and adherence to company standards. </li><li>Oversee the receipt, inspection, and processing of incoming products, ensuring accuracy in quantity, quality, and documentation. </li><li>Manage the storage and organization of products within the warehouse or cooler areas to optimize space and maintain product integrity. </li><li>Ensure that all shipping procedures are followed accurately, including the timely dispatch of goods to the correct destinations. </li><li>Monitor inventory levels, track back-orders, and manage short-listed items to maintain a consistent product flow. </li><li>Lead team members in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational standards. </li><li>Work closely with the Shipping & Receiving Manager to develop and implement improvements in shipping, receiving, and inventory control procedures. </li><li>Train and mentor new and existing team members, providing guidance on proper processes, equipment usage, and safety standards. </li><li>Address and resolve any shipping or receiving issues, ensuring that product orders are completed on time and meet customer expectations. </li><li>Assist in the planning of large shipments, ensuring that appropriate space and resources are available for incoming and outgoing inventory. </li><li>Maintain accurate records of goods received and shipped, reporting on key performance metrics and operational status to management. </li><li>Ensure proper use of forklifts, inventory equipment (e.g., scan guns), and other tools by team members, and ensure that all equipment is in safe working condition. </li></ul>
