<p>NATURE AND SCOPE OF WORK</p> <p>Minuteman High School is looking to hire a Building Paraprofessional/Technical Assistant for Career and Technical Education and academics.</p> <p>This position is a temporary assignment through the 2024/2025 school year. There is a possibility of extension into the following school year, depending organizational needs.</p> <p>The candidate is responsible for assisting teachers with classroom instruction and in shop settings. Individuals applying for this position will work collaboratively with instructors. They will participate effectively in school-wide department goals, and academic-vocational integration activities. Ensure personal professional growth on a yearly basis, with a focus on continuous improvement in student learning.</p> <p>Major Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Supervise students at all times.</p> </li><li> <p>Implement program/classroom safety procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Present topics relevant to the program/class under the guidance of the teachers.</p> </li><li> <p>Locate and compile information and prepare activities, demonstrations, equipment and other materials used in the CTE programs and academics.</p> </li><li> <p>Tutor individual students or groups in subjects that require basic to advanced knowledge of CTE programs and academics.</p> </li><li> <p>Review students' work for correct procedures in order to develop skills and techniques related to CTE programs and academics.</p> </li><li> <p>Transport students as needed in Minuteman vehicles.</p> </li><li> <p>Fill-in for teachers when needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as necessary. On occasions, you may need to move or lift light articles. This position may require long periods of standing and lifting up to 50lbs.
