<p>This position will assist the Americas Director with all aspects of Trade compliance for the Americas. The position will be responsible for the development and implementation of the Company's compliance to Import/Export law and regulations, in accordance with the Company's Trade Compliance Policy.</p> <p>Activities to be developed:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide guidance to all company business units, affiliate and subsidiaries in regards to global trade issues and regulations</p> </li><li> <p>Assist the Director of the Americas to implement the reviews of the Company's import and export practices for compliance to applicable laws and regulation.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist the Director of the Americas to implement the trade compliance policies,</p> </li><li> <p>Manage customs audits in conjunction with local/regional personnel and internal and external counsel as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Work with local and regional business leaders to determine strategies to reduce custom duties while ensuring proper payment of duties though compliant systems</p> </li><li> <p>Assist sourcing/procurement organizations with supplier selection, educating and assisting local/regional personnel on approval of new supplies, to drive duty and cost reduction/containment</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor, analyze and interpret developments in international trade affairs and assess impact and company operations.</p> </li><li> <p>Drive requirements, selection and implementation of third party resources and systems solutions to support global import and export compliance, in coordination with business units and local compliance/ logistics personnel.</p> </li><li> <p>Lead the implementation of the Key Controls in Mexico and audit the corresponding progress.</p> </li><li> <p>Track the performance of our service suppliers such as the Customs Brokers.</p> </li><li> <p>Help in the coordination of the classification of new products in the different territories with special emphasis on USA and Mexico.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for coordinating training programs to all the entities in Mexico and USA.</p> </li><li> <p>Review that the databases containing the import information are adequately updated.</p> </li><li> <p>Help in the determination of the Country of Origin for the different Free Trade Agreements.</p> </li><li> <p>Bachelor's Degree required.</p> </li><li> <p>5+ years experience in International Trade and Customs compliance activities or related.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated knowledge of customs regulations in USA and Mexico</p> </li><li> <p>Proven ability to lead collaboration across organizational units and functions to successfully complete projects and meet corporate objectives.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to conduct professional presentations within the internal teams across different Business Units..</p> </li><li> <p>Strong prioritization and organizational skills</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to manage both directly, and indirectly, across functions and geographic regions</p> </li><li> <p>Strong communication skills, both oral and written.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work independently, in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in a multinational corporation</p> </li><li> <p>Experience managing different Free Trade Agreements, being the USMCA the most important one.</p> </li></ul> <p>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or other protected status.
