<p>Goldey-Beacom College seeks a collaborative Assistant or Associate Professor of Data Analytics to join the faculty in the STEM department. This full-time position offers the opportunity develop courses in the field, enhance our program, and inspire our students.</p> <p>Position Type: Full-time, beginning August 2025</p> <p>Department: Academic Affairs</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>As a faculty member at Goldey-Beacom College, you'll have the opportunity to shape the data analytics curriculum while teaching a 4/4 course load of both undergraduate and graduate courses.</p> <p>Beyond the classroom, we strive to link theory to practice, ensuring students gain cutting-edge skills that align with industry needs. Our faculty are educators, mentors, researchers, and leaders who:</p> <ul> <li>Prioritize exceptional teaching and student engagement </li><li>Pursue academic and/or industry research that advances the field </li><li>Contribute to the College and the community through meaningful service </li><li>Play a key role in shared governance, shaping the institution's direction </li></ul> <p>Assistant Professor Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of two years of relevant field experience in Analytics, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field </li><li>Minimum of two years of teaching experience in their field of expertise in higher education and must be prepared to demonstrate their teaching effectiveness and commitment to cultivating student talent </li><li>Master's degree required; a terminal degree (Ph.D.) in a related field is preferred </li><li>Candidates who are ABD, or who have graduate coursework or exceptional industry experience in applied data or business analytics and appropriate software certifications are also encouraged to apply </li><li>Passion for teaching excellence and fostering an inclusive learning environment with a commitment to engaging and serving diverse populations </li><li>Proficiency in R and/or Python is highly valued, along with a working knowledge of SQL </li></ul> <p>Associate Professor Qualifications (in addition to the above):</p> <ul> <li>Currently hold the rank of Associate Professor </li><li>Minimum of five (5) years of full-time teaching experience at a four-year college or university </li><li>Strong record of excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service </li><li>Upon receiving a job offer, the candidate must provide proof of rank </li></ul> <p>Reports to: VP of Academic Affairs/Provost</p> <p>Position Category: Faculty, Full-Time</p> <p>Months per Year: 10.5</p> <p>FLSA: Exempt</p> <p>Salary Range:</p> <ul> <li>Assistant Professor: $75,000-$85,000 </li><li>Associate Professor: $85,000-$95,000 </li></ul> <p>Benefits: Goldey-Beacom College offers an excellent benefits package that includes:</p> <ul> <li>Medical, Dental, & Vision </li><li>Retirement Plan (403b) to which College contributes 5.5% </li><li>Life & Disability Insurances </li><li>Education benefits for employees, spouses, and dependents </li><li>Free daily meals in dining hall </li></ul> <p>Application Instructions: Click here to apply.
