<p>Medical Director, Optometry</p> <p>Location: VHP's Community Vision Center - Allentown, PA</p> <p>Job Summary: The Medical Director, Optometry provides clinic and strategic leadership at VHP's Community Vision Center with the goal of driving value-based outcomes through data analysis, payer relationships, clinical outcomes, and collaboration with leadership, operations, and external stakeholders. In collaboration with the Chief of Family Medicine and Specialty Care, the Medical Director, Optometry will provide leadership and strategic vision for Optometric team at VHP, fostering best practices and developing a deep understanding of effective and efficient ways to operationalize strategies to positively impact the overall health of the community.</p> <p>Minimum qualifications: Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry program. Five years of clinical experience as an Optometrist.</p> <p>Preferred qualifications: More than 5 years of clinical experience as an Optometrist. One year of leadership experience. Experience in a medically needed and underserved community in a Community Health Center or a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)</p> <p>Licensure / Certifications: Active License as an Optometrist in PA. American Board of Optometry Certification.
