<p>Serve as a liaison between local secondary schools, career centers and Ohio Technical Centers (Adult Programs) and The University of Akron to develop, implement and sustain programming that links students to The University of Akron. Responsible for working with current and potential UA students, parents, school counselors, school administrators in the areas of recruitment, advising, orientation, transition facilitation and discussing pathway options.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <p>Serve as the onsite contact for Early College High School programs. Work closely with UA and secondary school administration in the on-going development and implementation of Early College programs.</p> <p>Work onsite at secondary schools and workplace learning environments to promote, support and share the mission, vision, and pathways of The University of Akron. Communicate and foster relationships on behalf of UA with students, parents, school personnel and the community at large. Recruit and assist in the transition from high school or adult education program to UA through Early College High School programs, College Credit Plus, articulation agreements, Career Technical Education programs, and Adult Education programs at Ohio Technical Centers.</p> <p>Assist in CCP Orientation and advisement of students.</p> <p>Assist in recruitment, transition, and financial aid activities.</p> <p>Maintains and assists with data collection and state reporting. Represent UA at meetings as requested.</p> <p>Other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Additional Position Information:</p> <p>Requires relevant bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred.</p> <p>Licenses/Certifications/Requirements:</p> <p>Driver's License</p> <p>Experience:</p> <p>Requires a minimum of 2 years' experience withing secondary and/or post-secondary education. Must have an understanding of Early College High School and College Credit Plus concepts as well as the policies and procedures surrounding college admissions, recruitment, marketing, advising, credit options, and basic student financial aid required. Strong interpersonal, organizational, computer and oral and written communications skills required.
