<p>A. Manages Development Program For Agency</p> <ol> <li>Meets with prospective donors and supporters on a continual basis to establish </li></ol> <p>effective communication with them</p> <ol start="2"> <li>Grows a major gifts program including identification, cultivation and solicitation of </li></ol> <p>major donors</p> <ol start="3"> <li>Builds the planned giving program with a focus on deferred gifts such as bequest </li></ol> <p>expectancies</p> <ol start="4"> <li> <p>Directs the annual fund program including mailings and annual fundraising drives</p> </li><li> <p>Directs capital campaigns and other major fundraising drives</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinates fundraising special events</p> </li><li> <p>Directs employee fundraising drives</p> </li><li> <p>Manages the production of newsletters for donors, corporations, families and</p> </li></ol> <p>community leaders</p> <ol start="9"> <li> <p>Manages the design and execution of direct mail campaigns</p> </li><li> <p>Serves as lead staff for Foundation Board of Directors and Foundation Committees</p> </li><li> <p>Oversees prospect research</p> </li><li> <p>Works closely with President/CEO and Agency Board of Directors</p> </li><li> <p>Makes public appearances and accepts speaking engagements to share information</p> </li></ol> <p>about the Centers for Youth and Families with the community</p> <ol start="14"> <li> <p>Attends Committee meetings</p> </li><li> <p>Supervises and collaborates with other fundraising staff</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares all materials needed for fundraising, etc.</p> </li></ol> <p>B. Administrative Duties</p> <ol> <li>Prepares annual budget, managing operating expenses and making adjustments as </li></ol> <p>needed or requested</p> <ol start="2"> <li>Assumes responsibility for selection, placement, management and evaluation of </li></ol> <p>Foundation employees</p> <ol start="3"> <li>Works directly with Foundation board and committee members to carry out the </li></ol> <p>mission of the Centers for Youth and Families</p> <ol start="4"> <li> <p>Assumes responsibility for safeguarding confidential donor/volunteer information</p> </li><li> <p>Creates, implements and maintains the donor tracking system to ensure timely</p> </li></ol> <p>expression of thanks and activities to encourage continued support</p> <ol start="6"> <li> <p>Generates and provides reports from the donor record keeping system as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Reports all new pledges to Accounting Department immediately after receiving</p> </li></ol> <p>pledges</p> <ol start="8"> <li>Delivers all money received directly by Foundation staff to Accounting </li></ol> <p>Department immediately</p> <ol start="9"> <li>Works with Accounting Department as necessary to ensure all pledges and pledge </li></ol> <p>payments are recorded</p> <p>C. Manages Volunteer Involvement</p> <ol> <li> <p>Oversees volunteer support group, Emerging Leaders</p> </li><li> <p>Directs the management of Emerging Leaders membership records and membership</p> </li></ol> <p>recruitment</p> <ol start="3"> <li> <p>Oversees and provides staff support for all Emerging Leaders' special events</p> </li><li> <p>Creates and implements volunteer recognition system, including annual volunteer</p> </li></ol> <p>recognition luncheon</p> <ol start="5"> <li>Oversees volunteer program to include needs assessment, recruitment, screening, </li></ol> <p>placement, orientation, tracking, follow-up, training, evaluation and recognition.</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline</p> <p>Five years progressive experience in professional fundraising</p> <p>Must embrace the mission of Centers for Youth and Families</p> <p>Possess strong interpersonal and writing skills</p> <p>Have knowledge and experience in fundraising techniques, particularly major gift fundraising</p> <p>Possess the skills to work with and motivate staff, board members and other volunteers</p> <p>Have the desire to build external relationships through networking outside of the office</p> <p>Must be goal driven to initiate donor visits and fundraising calls</p> <p>Must be organized and follow through on tasks and goals</p> <p>Must display a positive attitude, show concern for people and community, demonstrate presence, self-confidence, common sense and good listening ability</p>
