This 30-bed unit features 8 beds designed for our stroke population as part of Cooper University's Comprehensive Stroke Center, as well as 3 EMU beds for seizure monitoring. Telemetry monitoring is available in 10 of the unit beds when needed. The nursing staff provides caring, individualized attention to all patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with collaborative interdisciplinary team members.</p> <p>Short Description</p> <ul> <li>Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), assists with patients' activities of daily living and plan of care. </li><li>Communicates with and supports healthcare team, patients and/or patient's family or significant other(s). </li><li>Maintains and demonstrates high standards of professional ethics. </li></ul> <p>Experience Required</p> <p>1 year or more patient care experience in a similar role.</p> <p>Education Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Completed at least one fundamental nursing course in an accredited nursing Program </li><li>Successful completion of an unlicensed health care provider/ technician program </li><li>High school diploma/GED </li></ul> <p>License/Certification Requirements</p> <p>AHA Basic Life Support certification.</p> <p>Special Requirements</p> <p>Must successfully complete EKG and Phlebotomy training during orientation.</p>
