<p>PURPOSE/FUNCTION/SUMMARY (TRAINING NEEDS)</p> <p>Work across teams to oversee financial reporting, manage accounting staff, ensure compliance, analyze financial data to advise on financial strategies in a manufacturing environment.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li>Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP). </li><li>Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting. </li><li>Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to management for informed decision-making. </li><li>Manage and supervise the accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance management. </li><li>Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy. </li><li>Oversee accounts payable, accounts, receivable, and other accounting functions. </li><li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records. </li><li>Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls. </li><li>Coordinate and manage the annual audit process, providing necessary information and documentation. </li><li>Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations. </li><li>Assist in the development and management of the company budget. </li><li>Prepare and analyze financial forecasts. </li><li>Conduct financial analysis to identify areas for improvement and cost savings. </li><li>Provide financial recommendations to management. </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with an emphasis on cost accounting a plus </li><li>At least two years of previous accounting experience working with Standard Cost Inventory systems in a manufacturing environment </li><li>A background in cost accounting and manufacturing is preferred </li><li>Excellent computer skills; experience in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite </li><li>Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and GAAP reporting </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Detail-oriented </li><li>Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently within a team environment </li></ul>
