<p>Job Description</p> <p>As this is a hybrid role, working out of our Creative Studios in Westlake, Ohio, we will focus on candidates who currently reside in Northeast Ohio.</p> <p>American Greetings is hiring for an International Logistics Specialist.</p> <p>In this role, you will will act as the logistics liaison with internal departments, AG business units, and plants along with logistics services providers.</p> <p>In order to be successful in this role, you will be responsible for understanding and recommending logistics principles, policies and practices to achieve best of class services and performance for the best available total cost.</p> <p>Our ideal candidate will have:</p> <ul> <li>Broad knowledge of supply chains, general business and financial principals. </li><li>Strong analytical and project management skills as you will act as a tactical import and export expert. </li><li>Understanding of product classifications, US and foreign Customs and their impact on AG import/export business activity. </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Tactical expert facilitating the import and export of AG product and materials. Provides technical, specialized information and direction regarding import and export activity related to US and foreign Customs. Researches and provides information and recommendations regarding product classifications, Customs rulings, penalties and cost avoidance. </li><li>Work with plants, internal departments, business units and vendors to plan, organize, resolve problems, set priorities, identify and implement solutions. </li><li>Provide support to Transportation staff: gather information and develop reports, analyze data and make recommendations, various other duties as assigned by the Manager Import / Export. </li><li>All other duties as assigned. </li></ul>
