Eurofins companies offer a portfolio of over 200,000 analytical methods to evaluate the safety, identity, composition, authenticity, origin, traceability and purity of biological substances and products.</p> <p>In 2021, Eurofins generated total revenues of EUR 6.72 billion, and has been among the best performing stocks in Europe over the past 20 years.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <ul> <li>Perform large-scale (up to 10 L) expression of recombinant proteins and virus-like particles (VLPs) by transient transfection of suspension mammalian cells across multiple expression systems, including shake flask and WAVE bioreactor technology </li><li>Work closely with lead scientist in the expression group and coordinate with the protein purification and characterization groups in the facility </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>MS in biology, biochemistry or related scientific field. Or BS in biology, biochemistry or related scientific field with 2 or more years of relevant post-graduation work experience in a scientific setting, with preference given to industrial experience </li><li>Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with suspension mammalian cell cultures </li><li>Experience with large-scale (up to 10L) cell culture and bioreactor technology, including WAVE bioreactor systems </li><li>Experience with cell culture analyzers, including the BioProfile FLEX analyzer </li><li>Experience developing optimized expression conditions for hard to express proteins, including multimeric proteins </li><li>Solid foundation in sterile, aseptic technique and sterile cell culture </li><li>Experience working in a biosafety cabinet (BSC) for sterile cell culture </li><li>Experience with mammalian cell culture, including passaging cells, cell counting, determining cell density and dilutions </li><li>Experience with recombinant protein expression by transient transfection of mammalian cells. </li><li>Proficiency in protein characterization techniques including SDS-PAGE, Western blot analysis, and UV-VIS spectroscopy </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>This position is Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with overtime as needed and the potential for some off shift hours as dependent on project.
