<p>Position Summary</p> <p>As a Special Education Teacher, you will design and implement a data-based educational program to meet the assessed individual needs of the students, participate on a multidisciplinary team and complete all required paperwork/ documentation/ monitoring of goal progress for both the Cardinal School and the Center, and provide training to others and engage in special projects upon request.</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>The starting pay is between $26.00 and $34.03 per hour (approximately $54,000 and $70,700 per year) depending on experience, plus excellent benefits. Add-on pay up to an additional $2.97 per hour is available for relevant credits that are above those required for certification. A 12-month probationary period is required.</p> <p>Pay for current or former state employees is set based upon the rules that apply to compensation for the applicable transaction. This position is classified as a Teacher and in pay schedule and range 13/04.</p> <p>Job Details</p> <p>All applicants who may be appointed to this position will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.</p> <p>All appointees will be required to receive a TB test, which will be administered by CWC or medical personnel approved by the facility prior to their start date.</p> <p>DHS does not sponsor work visas for this position, thus, in compliance with federal law, selected candidates will be required to verify eligibility to work in the United States by completing the required I-9 form upon hire.</p> <p>Candidates must provide a copy of their transcripts in order to verify eligibility. Please attach this in the 'Supporting Documentation' section of the job application.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimally qualified applicants will one of the following:</p> <ul> <li>Licensure or eligible for licensure by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) in Cross-Categorical Special Education (1801). </li><li>Eligible is defined as your license application is currently in progress with WI DPI state and are eligible to obtain licensure in the State of Wisconsin. </li></ul> <p>Your resume and transcripts are a critical part of the application and will be reviewed as part of the initial screening process. It is important to clearly identify relevant degree and/or licensure you hold in your resume and attach your transcripts in a clear, readable format.
