The Occupational Therapy Department offers a dynamic and supportive environment for both students and faculty, emphasizing evidence-based practice and community engagement.</p> <p>Position Overview:</p> <p>Alvernia University's Occupational Therapy Department invites applications for a part-time adjunct faculty position to teach in our Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) program. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in courses related to occupational therapy, fostering student engagement, and contributing to the academic mission of the department.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Teach assigned courses in the MSOT program, including preparation and delivery of lectures, development of course materials, and assessment of student performance. </li><li>Support to students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. </li><li>Collaborate with full-time faculty to ensure alignment with program goals and accreditation standards. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in Occupational Therapy. Doctoral degree preferred but not required. </li><li>Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OTR/L). </li><li>Previous teaching experience at the collegiate level is preferred, but not required </li><li>Commitment to student success and the mission of a Franciscan institution. </li></ul> <p>Application Instructions:</p> <p>Interested candidates should submit the following materials:</p> <ul> <li>Cover letter outlining teaching philosophy and relevant experience. </li><li>Curriculum vitae (CV). </li><li>Contact information for three professional references. </li><li>Proof of licensure. </li><li>Copy of highest diploma (photo acceptable). </li></ul> <p>Applications can be submitted through the Alvernia University employment portal or by contacting the Occupational Therapy Department directly.
