If you have experience in food services, then this job could be for you!</p> <p>Position Details:</p> <ul> <li>Job Title: Food and Nutrition - Team Lead </li><li>Company: IU Health </li><li>Department: Nutrition Services </li><li>Location: Riley Children's Hospital </li><li>Schedule: Part-Time, Evenings (Start at 2:30 or 3:00pm with 6-hour shifts) - rotating weekends </li></ul> <p>This is a unique opportunity that will have a direct impact on our organization's success and supports our vision of making Indiana one of the nation's healthiest states. We hope this inspires you to apply and begin living our IU Health Values - Purpose, Excellence, Compassion and Team - every day.</p> <p>What You Will Do:</p> <p>This position will lead the evening team toward a successful closing, ensuring that the kitchen is clean and ready for the morning team. Cooking experience and knife skills are encouraged to support cooks as needed. Strong communication skills are necessary as this individual will need to effectively communicate with the team for a successful closing.</p> <ul> <li>Oversee the services of meals to patients in a professional and efficient manner. </li><li>Instruct patients on meal ordering system. </li><li>Using food preference data, utilize technology to place bedside patient orders or place orders via telephone for patients. </li><li>Accountable for orders and accuracy of patient trays with special dietary needs. </li><li>Document food intake to support nutrition care. </li></ul> <p>Food service experience is strongly preferred. Leadership experience is preferred but not required.</p> <p>What You Will Need:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred. </li><li>Requires experience in a customer service function; with a minimum of one year experience working with the public. </li><li>Requires Serve Safe Food Protection Manager Certification (FPMC) or successfully obtain the certification within 6 months in the position. </li><li>Requires knowledge of, or ability to learn diet therapy, as it applies to food selection and modified diet adherence. </li><li>Requires the ability to use computer (desktop/laptop/tablet) and cell phones. </li></ul>
