<p>Kforce has a client that is seeking an Audit Support in New York, NY.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Audit Support will collaborate closely with auditors to facilitate a smooth and efficient audit process </li><li>Prepare, organize, and review audit schedules and supporting documentation </li><li>Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting </li><li>Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records </li><li>Respond to audit inquiries in a timely and accurate manner </li><li>As an Audit Support, you will assist in implementing recommendations from audit findings </li><li>Maintain an organized file system of audit materials for reference and compliance </li><li>Support the finance team in other accounting and compliance-related tasks as needed* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field </li><li>5+ years of relevant accounting experience, with direct exposure to audit processes </li><li>Experience working in the non-profit sector is required </li><li>Strong understanding of GAAP and non-profit accounting standards (e.g., fund accounting) </li><li>Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities </li><li>Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) </li><li>Effective communication skills to interface with both internal teams and external auditors </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience supporting annual audits or single audits (OMB Uniform Guidance) </li><li>Familiarity with grant and funder reporting requirements </li></ul>
