The research assistant will contribute to design, development, and evaluation of a new creative coding programming environment to support undergraduate-level CS education</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <ul> <li>Contribute to literature review on existing tools and curriculum for supporting creative coding </li><li>User experience and interface design for a prototype creative coding programming environment </li><li>Implementation of web-based programming environment tool using React, Node, Javascript </li><li>Assist in user study design and implementation to evaluate effectiveness of prototypes </li><li>Academic writing of research results in preparation for conference paper submission </li></ul> <p>Skills, Qualifications & Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>BS in Computer Science or equivalent programming background </li><li>Experience building and deploying web applications, particularly using Node.js </li><li>Experience in user interface design and creating design mockups in Figma, Sketch, or other design software </li></ul> <p>Hourly Rate: $25/hour</p> <p>The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
