<p>Position Summary:</p> <p>Joining our Laboratory Services Department at Plaza Del Sol Health Center, the Temporary Phlebotomist (Certified Phlebotomy Technician) will provide Bilingual Spanish/English/Mandarin/Bengali diagnostic evaluations and treatments. Candidates must have a flexible schedule and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Nationally Certified Phlebotomy Technician, required. </li><li>Bilingual Spanish/English/Mandarin/Bengali, required. </li><li>High School Diploma, required. </li><li>0-1 year of related phlebotomy experience highly preferred. </li><li>Understanding of safety rules and regulations. </li><li>Flexible work schedule required. </li></ul> <p>Key Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Performs laboratory tests as ordered by provider. </li><li>Draws blood, collects specimens, and transmits orders. </li><li>Prepares specimens for pickup, in accordance with National Patient Safety guidelines. </li><li>Utilizes appropriate needle precautions. </li><li>Ensures appropriate OSHA standards. </li></ul> <p>Starting Compensation: Minimum $21.00 per hour; Maximum $21.00 per hour</p> <p>Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule:</p> <p>Position will be based out of our Corona, Queens Family Health Center, Plaza Del Sol. This position will require flexibility to train in our Bronx based flagship Family Health Center; El Nuevo San Juan in the beginning of employment with a schedule of Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Once training is completing, departmental schedule will commence and will be to work Tuesday-Thursday 7am-4:30pm and every Saturday 7am-1:30pm.
