Drive your career forward, with this opportunity as a Test Cell Technician located in Indianapolis, Indiana.</p> <p>Primary Purpose of Role:</p> <p>The primary purpose of this role is to support Test Engineers in the setup and execution of developmental tests of prototype hardware in the Engineering Operations department.</p> <ul> <li>Support the design planning and execution of automotive powertrain tests </li><li>Install/configure prototype test hardware </li><li>Install and ensure calibration of instrumentation </li><li>Configure data collection/logging software </li><li>Participate in program planning and status update meetings </li><li>Implement and support safety policies and initiatives </li><li>Timely completion of work requests </li><li>Maintaining an orderly and efficient workplace </li><li>Producing high quality data </li><li>Reflects on mistakes and seeks to proactively address them </li><li>Practices active listening to understand stakeholder needs </li><li>Learns and adapts quickly when facing new problems </li><li>Solves problems with peers in a professional and constructive way </li></ul> <p>Vocational or Technical degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent experience</p> <p>Required</p> <ul> <li>Proficient in oral and written business communication </li><li>Typically 3+ years in an Engineering Technician role (or equivalent) </li><li>Strong mechanical proficiency </li><li>Experience working in a laboratory environment </li><li>Ability to use computer programming to modify test scripts </li><li>Experience configuring instrumentation/data collection </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in automotive powertrain testing environment </li><li>Experience configuring automation hardware/software </li><li>Ability to read and interpret engineering prints </li></ul> <p>EEOC statement required provisions</p> <p>Allison Transmission is an equal opportunity employer.
