Common diagnoses that are treated on this unit include Crohn's disease, colitis, gastroparesis, gastrointestinal bleeding, pancreatitis, liver failure, complex multi-organ failure, nausea and sepsis.</p> <p>A caregiver in this position works nights, 7:00PM - 7:30AM.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Conduct an in-person greeting, welcome and orientation to the unit for newly admitted and transferred patients.</p> </li><li> <p>Respond to patient call lights and make rounds.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with processing patient admissions, transfers and discharges.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist patients and families with wayfinding and direct them to available resources.</p> </li><li> <p>Assemble and maintain patient medical records and other documents related to patient care.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with unit clerical functions and in trouble-shooting equipment failures, such as call system, portable phones, WOWs and other unit devices.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>High school diploma or GED</p> </li><li> <p>1 year of experience in a customer service-related role</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with typing, computer training or equivalent coursework</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>College degree</p> </li><li> <p>Microsoft Office experience</p> </li></ul> <p>Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
