<p>DC Operations Assistant</p> <p>The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. They are not intended to be construed, as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel so classified.</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY: The DC Operations Assistant works in and facilitates the daily distribution goals of the department to include cost, quality, service, delivery and most importantly safety. Provides leadership and motivation to employees in an assigned production area. Directs and trains warehouse personnel as required.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION (Other duties may be assigned.):</p> <ul> <li>Provides timely and effective feedback to supervisor on the quality performance and productivity standards of assigned team members; helps team members understand the responsibility to "own" the quality of their work. </li><li>Provides work direction, training, and motivation to team members in a diverse work force. Ensures that employees are following set procedures and safety policies. Understands workload constraints and flexes employees in and out of duties as workflow fluctuations occur. </li><li>Conducts stock search to locate products and provide feedback to resolve inventory issues to the Inventory Supervisor. </li><li>Manage all needed VAS compliance and customer requirements by assuring that all requirements are being followed. </li><li>Demonstrates a positive attitude and treats all associates with respect and dignity. Actively supports management decisions and communicates concerns to management as appropriate. </li><li>Provides updates to management on team member training progress and makes recommendations on potential training opportunities. </li><li>Assists in warehouse tasks to support labor needs. </li><li>Seeks guidance where necessary. </li></ul> <p>INVENTORY COVERAGE:</p> <ul> <li>Reconciles physical inventories to system and adjusts when necessary; takes steps to correct and prevent discrepancies as directed by the Inventory Supervisor. </li><li>Conducts and records initial cycle count as directed by the Inventory Supervisor. </li><li>Coordinates with Inbound lead all new inventory for slotting including the inventory heat map & Warehouse Management System (WMS) setup as directed by the Inventory Supervisor. </li></ul> <p>DISTRIBUTION COORDINATOR COVERAGE:</p> <ul> <li>Review order type and manage wave generation, replenishment, and shipment processing to provide timely shipments of product. </li><li>Review and manage open order report to achieve company shipping goals and customer expectations on all orders. </li><li>Prints special labels as required to meet customer requests. </li></ul> <p>POSITION REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty successfully. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or equivalent </li><li>2+ years of warehouse and inventory experience preferred. </li><li>Good knowledge of Microsoft based programs including excel, word, outlook etc. </li><li>Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience preferred. </li><li>Has demonstrated leadership capabilities and is willing to participate in leadership training opportunities. </li><li>Dependable with a good record of attendance </li><li>Must be able to get along with a variety of individuals </li><li>Must be able to be flexible and work overtime as required </li><li>Willing to follow instructions and take direction </li><li>Ability to work in a team environment. </li><li>Ability to adapt to changing environments and priorities. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Bi-lingual ability a plus. </li><li>Lifting, standing, bending, stooping, and walking a minimum of 8 hours a day </li><li>Must be able to lift/pull 50 pounds with no restrictions </li><li>Ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance </li><li>Good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity </li><li>Required to use arms, hands, and fingers frequently to handle, feel or reach. </li><li>The sensory requirements for this position include vision, hearing, and touch. </li><li>Must be able to handle work that is repetitious </li><li>Closed toe shoes </li><li>Must be willing to conduct oneself in accordance with LFI's Core Values. </li></ul> <p>ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The noise level of the work environment is usually moderate. Due to the nature of the warehouse environment, temperature fluctuation can be extreme in cold or hot weather.</p> <p>REPORTING: This position reports directly to: The Inventory Supervisor.</p>
