<p>The mission of Zion Reformed Church is to Spread the Gospel of the Glory of Christ for the Joy of all Peoples in Him. We aim to fulfill this mission not only by growing the Gospel at Zion but by planting churches throughout Ohio. To that end, we are hiring a church planting apprentice to begin at the candidate's earliest convenience:</p> <p>Purpose of the Apprenticeship</p> <ul> <li>Assist Zion Reformed Church with growing the Gospel via our youth and evangelistic ministries </li><li>Provide the apprentice with the spiritual nurturing, ministerial training, and relational support necessary to thrive in a future church plant </li></ul> <p>Church Planting Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Year 1: The apprentice will become acclimated to the area and pastoral ministry at Zion and will receive mentoring in general pastoral areas </li><li>Year 2: The apprentice will begin receiving planting-specific mentoring, creating site assessments, and developing a church planting strategic plan </li><li>Year 3: The apprentice will begin splitting time between Zion and the future plant with the aim to begin planting </li></ul> <p>full-time by year end</p> <p>Zion Outreach Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Lead existing outreach ministries </li><li>Assist with expanding Gospel ministry inside/outside of Zion </li><li>Assist with social media/website </li></ul> <p>Zion Youth Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Lead existing youth ministries </li><li>Assist with enhancing/expanding youth ministries </li><li>Assist Session in shepherding youth and their families </li></ul> <p>Additional Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Regular attendance/participation in the life of the church </li><li>Preaching and Teaching as Session-approved opportunities arise </li><li>Assisting Pastor Barkley (Zion TE and Ohio Presbytery Missions Committee Chair) with Presbytery Missions work </li><li>Perform administrative and other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Hours & Compensation</p> <ul> <li>Hours: Average of 40+/week </li><li>Compensation: $60k + Tuition Assistance (Apprentice must fundraise additional support as needed) </li></ul> <p>Salary: $60K-$89K</p> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Membership in good standing of a PCA or like-minded church, along with a recommendation letter from your elders </li><li>Commitment to maintaining a godly Christian character in accordance with 1 Timothy 3 </li><li>Adherence to Zion Reformed Church's doctrinal standards </li><li>Must have a Gospel-driven, entrepreneurial spirit balanced by a strong ability to self-manage </li><li>Neither ordination nor an M.Div. are required to start </li></ul> <p>How to Apply</p> <p>Primary Contact: Brett Barkley</p> <p>Email: enjoyinggod@zcpca.org</p> <p>Phone: 5023033081</p> <p>Apply Online: View</p>
