<p>Summary</p> <p>Chatham High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Football Assistant Coach for the upcoming 25-26 seasonal football program. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the game, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive and competitive environment for student-athletes. This position requires collaboration with the head coach and coaching staff to develop athletes' skills, promote teamwork, and instill sportsmanship.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Assist the head coach in planning and organizing daily practice sessions and game strategies. </li><li>Provide instruction and support to student-athletes in skill development and game techniques. </li><li>Monitor player performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance individual and team skills. </li><li>Help maintain a safe and positive environment for all participants during practices and games. </li><li>Contribute to the development of game plans and strategies for competitions. </li><li>Assist in managing team logistics, including equipment inventory and transportation arrangements. </li><li>Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team expectations and progress. </li><li>Promote and uphold the values of teamwork, discipline, and respect within the program. </li><li>Attend all practices, games, and team meetings as required. </li><li>Assist with recruitment and retention of players for the football program. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Previous coaching experience at the high school level or equivalent experience in a related field. </li><li>Strong knowledge of football rules, strategies, and techniques. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. </li><li>Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes to achieve their best. </li><li>Availability to work evenings and weekends during the football season. </li><li>Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). </li><li>Background check clearance as required by school district policies. </li><li>A passion for the sport and a commitment to the development of young athletes. </li></ul> <p>The School District of the Chathams provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.</p> <p>This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation and training.</p> <p>The use of Duo Mobile on a personal device is a requirement of employment at the School District of the Chathams.</p>
