The Aspiring Teacher assists in providing an educational atmosphere conducive to learning where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and/or psychological growth.</p> <p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None</p> <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. In addition to the requirements listed below, regular attendance is an essential function of this position.</p> <ul> <li>Ensures that all actions are in concert with the Board policies as well as the mission statement, beliefs, objectives and parameters found in the Board's strategic plan. </li><li>Participates in job training and professional growth opportunities in order to enhance ability to perform the essential functions of the job. </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment. </li><li>Weekly meetings with MCL* to determine focus for the week. </li><li>Analyze grade level data from formative and summative assessments. </li><li>Participate in weekly grade level(content area) meetings/PLC meetings </li><li>Reflect with MCL* from performed classroom observations. </li><li>Submit lesson plans to MCL*. </li><li>Lead small group/intervention lessons </li><li>Create and maintain a safe learning environment. </li><li>Participate in student goal setting as well as their own goal setting. </li><li>Support first level of behavior intervention with students in their own classroom. </li><li>Uses a variety of explanations and multiple representations of concepts that capture key ideas to help students develop conceptual understanding. </li><li>Proactively communicate with parents and other stakeholders </li><li>Provide differentiated instruction to students in all content area. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS: Must be in the final year of an accredited teacher prep program</p> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Superior collaboration skills and professionalism; dedication to team goals and success, including the ability to effectively partner with team members to achieve priority goals and a willingness and commitment to support other team members' initiatives as needed. Must have the ability to connect to a diverse student population.</p> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS: Moderate in-district travel as well as intermittent in-state and out-of-state travel.
