The position handles both the retail and wholesale portion of a fashion footwear business. The role of Merchandise Analyst is responsible for understanding the detailed needs of our retail partner's business through analytical skills, strong collaboration, and customer system navigation. Self-motivation and an entrepreneurial attitude for a global brand is key to this role.</p> <p>Role and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Achieve Gross Margin & Sales expectations set forth by the department plan through the management of sales, markdowns, receipts, and assortment plan </li><li>Partner and collaborate with the Director on all aspects of business using clear and concise communication to achieve goals </li><li>Analyze on-going business of sales and strategies for total business and by-door allocations </li><li>Maintain, enter, and manage seasonal orders & reorders </li><li>Create seasonal purchases ensuring accuracy </li><li>Manage markdowns by implementing selections that drive sales and limit liability, keeping in line with North American strategy </li><li>Assist in forecasting for future product to create strong seasonal assortments with limited product liability and maximizing profits </li><li>Manage shipments from supplier to retailer to ensure timely delivery and appropriate seasonal store depth </li><li>Communicate all logistical needs to merchants and facilitate changes securing timely inventory receipts that align with the OTB </li><li>Maintain all Dillard's system setup to ensure accuracy including : Write copy, item setup, PO creation, & keying markdowns. </li></ul>
