<p>The Business Data Analyst is responsible for leading efforts to ensure compliance with state and federal reporting requirements and evaluating the performance of WEDC's economic development programs and activities.</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>$64,400.00 - $80,500.00 Annually</p> <p>Job Details</p> <p>The Business Data Analyst will spend most of his/her time in these activities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide primary oversight of the Enable system. </li><li>Manage data, inquiries, and systems to ensure data validity, accuracy, and accessibility. </li><li>Proactively communicate and collaborate with staff to analyze information needs and functional requirements and translate them into application and operational requirements. </li><li>Advise program staff about developing relevant benchmarks and metrics to measure the effectiveness and economic impact of WEDC's programs. </li><li>Ensure compliance with federal and state laws for WEDC projects and implement effective compliance programs and processes for WEDC Projects. </li><li>Develop and implement strategies to ensure timely and accurate data representation in operational systems. </li><li>Compile and analyze data to meet reporting requirements; ability to query and manipulate data in a database, must be comfortable programming in SQL, Visual Basic, NET, and PowerBI. </li><li>Recommend strategies to improve organizational data management. </li><li>Creating and providing change and architecture documentation. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Associates degree in Computer Science, Business, Economics, Statistics or related field or commensurate experience. </li><li>Minimum of three years of experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Economics, or related field. </li></ul> <p>Skills and Talents:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience programming with scripting language and object-oriented programming languages.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Solid mathematical aptitude.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to analyze and document complex business processes.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to make decisions under pressure.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience managing databases and working with large data sets to perform statistical analyses.</p> </li><li> <p>Statistical analysis: maybe preferred experience in R/Python, PBI or equivalent platform experience: able to develop "clean" data sets and tell accurate stories with it.</p> </li><li> <p>Understanding of how economic development programs operate.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with concepts related to performance measurement.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong project management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong understanding of the full life cycle of software development.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to draw and design business models and use case diagrams.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with agile project management.</p> </li></ul> <p>Other Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Based on the responsibilities of this position, this position may need to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. </li></ul> <p>How To Apply</p> <p>Applicants for this position must apply online at https://secure2.yourpayrollhr.com/ta/7760.careers?CareersSearch.
