<p>Position Type:</p> <p>Paraprofessionals/Teacher Paraprofessional</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>4/16/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Edison Elementary School</p> <p>Date Available:</p> <p>ASAP</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>04/28/2025</p> <p>  Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>POSITION: Paraprofessional I (Teacher Paraprofessional/Classroom Assistant-Special Education)</p> <p>Long Term Temporary Postion</p> <p>7.5 hours-Edison Elementary</p> <p>Through the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS: Must have completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher learning, OR hold an associate's degree, OR have passed the Teacher Parapro praxis exam.</p> <p>Must possess experience working with children with multiple and behavioral disabilities.</p> <p>Some heavy lifting required. Must complete CPI and Safety & Violence Training within the first 60 days of accepting position.</p> <p>Must obtain an Educational Aide Permit with ESEA Qualifications through ODE prior to the first day of employment.</p> <p>GENERAL DUTIES:</p> <ul> <li>Perform clerical duties such as recording information, filing data and preparing instructional materials as required by the teacher. </li><li>Collect data on individual student progress. </li><li>Assist students with their academic subjects, social skill development, and other non-academic areas as directed by the teacher. May be regular education classroom or resource room. </li><li>Follow established behavior management strategies as developed by the teacher. </li><li>Assist students with independent seatwork assigned by the teacher. </li><li>Assist with supplementary work for students and supervise independent study. </li><li>Reinforce learning with small groups while the teacher works with individual students. </li><li>May often have to work with emotionally upset children. </li><li>Must be capable of lifting in excess of 50 lbs. </li><li>Be willing to assist students to learn self-help and hygienic skills (e.g., toileting, eating, grooming, and dressing). </li><li>This position will assist in the personal care of students with the multiple disabilities classroom. </li></ul> <p>SALARY: Per negotiated agreement</p> <p>APPLICATION DEADLINE: 3:00 pm ON Monday, April 28, 2025</p> <p>TO APPLY:</p> <p>Internal Applicants: Please apply online through AppliTrack.
