<p>SUMMARY:</p> <p>The Manufacturing Engineer for Laser/Form will maintain laser and forming systems and software applications, ensuring optimal performance, precision, and safety (multiple site). This role requires expertise in laser technology, software, optics, laser maintenance and engineering principles, with a focus on advancing cutting-edge solutions for industrial cutting and forming.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Procurement of laser systems, including selection of laser types (e.g., solid-state, fiber, CO2, or diode) for specific applications. </li><li>Perform testing, calibration, and alignment of laser equipment to meet performance and safety standards. </li><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to best integrate manufacturing processes or product designs. </li><li>Analyze and optimize laser beam characteristics, such as wavelength, power, and focus, for desired outcomes. </li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to laser operation, forming operations, or system integration. </li><li>Develop and implement maintenance schedules and protocols for laser and forming equipment to ensure reliability and longevity. </li><li>Stay current with advancements in laser technology, optics, and related fields to recommend innovative solutions. </li><li>Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards, including laser safety protocols (e.g., ANSI Z136). (Laser safety officer a plus) </li><li>Document designs, test results, and procedures in detailed technical reports and specifications. </li><li>Train and guide operators on proper equipment use, safety protocols, and best practices in fabrication. </li><li>Document processes, equipment settings, and production outcomes for continuous improvement and record-keeping. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). </li><li>5 years of experience working with laser systems or photonics. </li><li>Strong understanding of laser physics, optics, and electro-optical systems. </li><li>Hands-on experience with laser operations, maintenance, and diagnostics. </li><li>Proficiency in nesting software preferably NCELL. </li><li>Experience with CNC programming and operation for press brakes and machining equipment. </li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). </li><li>Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. </li><li>Ability to work independently and as a part of a team. </li><li>Knowledge of safety standards and regulations for laser use. </li><li>12 Expected Behaviors of Actively Engaged Person - 100% Responsible, Trustworthy, Team Player, Clear Communicator, Empathy, Humility, Emotional Self-Control, Resolves Conflict Directly, Positive Attitude, Respects Others, Problem Solver, and Agile. </li></ul>
