<p>Job Description</p> <p>Returning UsersLog Back In</p> <p>Role Overview</p> <p>Grow your career with a team that shares your passion for food and service excellence.</p> <p>Sodexo is seeking a Food Operations Manager 2 for NYC Health + Hospitals/Carter, a 200-bed Long Term Care and 165-bed Nursing Facility located in Upper Manhattan, New York, NY.</p> <p>The Food Operations Manager 2 will report to the General Manager and be responsible for leading a team of approximately 37 union employees, including Food Service Supervisors and Patient Services Managers. This leadership role is integral to the success of a cook-chill patient dining program, offering both restaurant-style and in-room dining services to residents and patients. Must be flexible to work varied shifts and every other weekend.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <p>Key responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Providing daily oversight of food operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and service excellence</p> </li><li> <p>Leading, coaching, and developing frontline staff, supervisors, and managers to foster a high-performance culture</p> </li><li> <p>Overseeing onboarding, training, and ongoing development initiatives to ensure compliance and operational consistency</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborating closely with the Patient Services team to ensure a seamless dining experience that meets individual patient needs and exceeds expectations</p> </li><li> <p>Maintaining strong client relationships and supporting client satisfaction through responsive communication and high standards of service</p> </li><li> <p>Ensuring compliance with all Sodexo policies, local regulations, and food safety guidelines</p> </li><li> <p>Supporting operational goals, including labor management, cost control, and quality assurance</p> </li></ul> <p>What We Offer</p> <p>Compensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience.
